Sekwele Family Strengthening Programme

Director (ProBono): Centre for Family Studies
Under the broad umbrella of building healthy families through social reflection, Sekwele Centre for Social Reflection provides support to families through the Sekwele Family Stregthening Programme https://www.sekwele.org/

With service as a teacher, development officer, manager and regional director within the public and development sectors, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge of institutions and systems in my role of establishing of the Sekwele Centre for Family Studies alongside the Sekwele Family Cohesion Project.

"While some critics question the relevance of the institution of the family as normatively defined – based on marriage and the heterosexual nuclear family for many citizens – the notion of family, however defined, remains the most fundamental unit of society in meeting human needs and in securing a sense of identity."
